When you are out cycling, it's important to know where you can be sure of a warm welcome, facilities that you need, and somewhere safe to lock up your bike. Tynedale's 'Bike-Friendly Businesses' are all venues where you can:
lock your bike securely
charge an e-bike battery indoors
access simple first-aid
borrow tools to mend your bike, including puncture repair kids
be met with a broad smile

Here are Tynedale's 'Bike-Friendly Businesses'
Coach and Horses Hexham Priestpopple, NE46 1PS. Open 11.30am to 11pm, and midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. Has accommodation and welcomes dogs as well as cyclists. Our first Bike Friendly venue.
The County Hotel, Hexham Priestpopple, NE46 IPS (opposite the Coach and Horses). Dog friendly rooms available.
The Wentworth Cafe, Hexham Wentworth Place, Hexham, England NE461XB, overlooking the huge Wentworth car park. Open generally 8.30am to 4pm, expect on Sundays and Mondays, when opening is at 9.30am. A great spot for breakfast.
Keilder Castle For Satnavs: NE48 1ER or OS Grid ref: NY632934. It's the biggest castle in Keilder forest, you can't miss it. It's slightly north of the water itself, just off the C200. Motorhomes are also welcome to park up overnight for a small fee.
The Boatside Inn Warden, very near Hexham. A lovely riverside pub offering a wide menu and also accommodation. On cycle route 72.
Hadrian's Holidays, Greenhead Luxury Glamping lodges with safe cycle storage, on route 72 Stanegate Hideaways Bardon Mill area: bookable cottage and Shepherd's huts. Facilities optimal and available to guests, lovely position, nearby eateries and sustainable ethos.
The Sill Everyone loves the Sill, and now you can cycle there and find facilities to support you when you (finally) make it. Tools, shelter, changing and washing facilities and a pump for flat tyres, as well as an e-bike charger.
Walltown Country Park and Cawfields Both nearby sites to the Sill, with excellent environments for cycling for children and both sporting a toolkit, a stand for a bike for repairs, a pump, drinking water and disabled toilets, changing facilities and adapted showering facilities for disability support. Walltown Country Park is staffed but Cawfields isn't. See information about Cawfields here
